What Is the Roof Over Your Head Project in Denver?
The Roof Over Your Head project is a community initiative led by the Colorado Roofing Association (CRA) and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver to provide safe, durable housing for families in need. Elite Roofing & Solar was honored to donate both labor and materials for the 2025 build, ensuring the home has a strong, weather-ready roof.
Roof Over Your Head Project with Habitat for Humanity and CRA
At Elite Roofing & Solar, giving back to the communities we serve is at the heart of our mission. After all, as local Denver roofers, we live in the same communities we work in each day and want to do our part to better the lives of our neighbors.
Recently, our team had the privilege of partnering with the Colorado Roofing Association (CRA) and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver as part of the โRoof Over Your Headโ program. A collaborative initiative that provides safe, durable housing solutions for families in need.
This particular project reflects the power of local businesses and nonprofit organizations coming together to make a difference. Our team was able to donate both materials and our labor, ensuring that this new home will have a strong, weather-ready roof that will serve its future occupants for decades to come.
Roof Over Your Head: Project Details

Our teamโs participation in this event has been led by Production Coordinator Jazmin Soto and Office Coordinator Morgan Dillon. Elite Roofing & Solar has been working directly with Habitat for Humanity to alignย schedules and support their homebuilding efforts.
The Elite Roofing & Solar team has been working to complete the installation of a new roof for this home, and at the time of publication, weโve installed the roofโs decking. Shingle installation is scheduled once interior trades complete their work.
Once completed, the roof will include GAF Timberline ArmorShield II shingles in Hickory, which provide Class 4 impact resistance, the highest rating available. Weโll also be using GAF synthetic felt for a complete and cohesive roofing system across the 13-square roof.
Ensuring Maximum Protection
By installing impact-resistant shingles, weโre ensuring this roof will be ready to stand up to Coloradoโs harsh weather conditions. Not only do these shingles deliver long-lasting performance, but theyโll also provide peace of mind for future homeowners, given our hail-prone climate.

About Our Partners
The Roof Over Your Head program is jointly coordinated by Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver and the Colorado Roofing Association. Weโve worked with both of these organizations previously and strongly support their missions here locally.
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver
Denverโs chapter of the nationwide Habitat for Humanity organization has been building and preserving affordable housing for families since 1979, the fifth affiliate in the US. By engaging volunteers, donors, and partner families, they empower people with safe, affordable housing solutions that transform communities.
Colorado Roofing Association
The CRA is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting ethics, education, and excellence in the roofing industry. Through programs like Roof Over Your Head, CRA brings together member contractors to help families in need across the state.
Why This Roofing Project Matters
For our team at Elite Roofing & Solar, this effort goes beyond just building a roof. As a company built on core values of Faith, Family, Honesty, and Integrity, community-building is central to who we are. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and secure place to call home, and as skilled roofers, weโre in a unique position to help organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the CRA make that happen.
Our team has regularly participated in volunteer projects with Habitat for Humanity, including last yearโs project, both through donated labor and materials. When the CRA invited members to contribute labor and materials for the Roof Over Your Head program, we were able to step up and support not just one, but two locations this year.
Elite Roofing & Solar: Putting a Roof Over Your Head for 20 Years
Our team has enjoyed contributing to this project, and weโre excited to see the final resultโnot just a home, but a secure shelter for a family in need. And while not every project is a volunteer effort, weโre grateful for the opportunity our work gives us to provide much-needed shelter to residents throughout the Denver area.
