A Local Family That Always Put Others First
The family we worked with, longtime Colorado residents, had always been deeply involved in their church and community. Known among neighbors and friends for their kindness and selflessness, they’d spent years helping others—even during periods of personal hardship. But when health issues and medical bills began to take their toll, maintaining their home became increasingly difficult.
That’s when Elite Roofing & Solar partnered with Farmers Insurance Agent Richard Schoenung to help a family in need by donating a full roof replacement, free of charge.
What Condition Was the Roof In?
After more than three decades in their home, this local family’s roof had reached a critical point. Leaks emerged and water began seeping into their home, and despite their best efforts with tarps and temporary fixes, the damage was threatening the rest of their home. Yet with limited finances and ongoing medical challenges, paying for a roof replacement seemed out of reach.
Elite Roofing & Solar heard their story through a trusted local connection, Richard Schoenung. Moved by the family’s perseverance and generosity toward others, our company’s owners, Cody Hayes and Randy Brothers, decided to step in and help—no questions asked.
How Elite Roofing & Solar Stepped In to Help
The Elite Roofing & Solar team got to work quickly, knowing that each day wasted meant the possibility of further water damage to this home. We set about removing the damaged roofing system, then replaced it with GAF Timberline shingles in Pewter Gray, complete with new decking, ice and water shield, felt, vents, and ridge components.
The result was more than just a beautiful new roof—it was a renewed sense of security and stability for a family that had spent years putting others first.
Despite the challenges of coordinating materials, weather, and timing, our team worked efficiently to ensure the project was completed to the highest standards. As with every roof we install, quality and craftsmanship remain non-negotiable.
