The Denver Post asked one of our owners about what it means to have Peyton Manning staying in Denver for the 2015/2016 Season.
You gotta love a roofing company so locally loved and respected that we get to chime in on what it means to have Peyton Manning staying in Denver for his 18th NFL season. One of our owners, Cody Hayes, gave his two cents on Manning renewing his contract with the Broncos. Below is an excerpt from the article from The Denver Post written by Nick Kosmider, originally posted here.
“I’m stoked,” said Cody Hayes, a longtime Broncos fan who runs a roofing business in Denver. “We had already been through multiple quarterbacks before he came here, and it’s not likely that we could win without real talent behind center.”
The NFL, Hayes pointed out, is a quarterback-driven league. He believes Osweiler could be a good quarterback, but it’s Manning, he said, who gives the Broncos their best chance to win the Super Bowl next season.
“Every year I say we have a chance to win the Super Bowl,” Hayes said, “but if we don’t (in 2015), this will be our last chance for a while.”
Fans also expressed excitement about what general manager John Elway might be able to accomplish with the money saved from the $4 million pay cut Manning agreed to take.
“I just hope that’s enough to secure some key playmakers,” Hayes said.
Spoken like a true Broncos fan! Cody Hayes is a native of Colorado and grew up loving the Broncos so it’s only fitting that The Denver Post ask him what his take on Peyton Manning renewing for the 2015/2016 season means. Now, if we could only figure out how to get Peyton Manning to buy a new roof from Elite Roofing… From there, it’s just a hop, skip and a jump away to Elite Roofing Stadium at Mile High. We can dream, can’t we?
