When something goes wrong with your roof and you’re in need of a repair, you need a roofing company you can trust to get the job done right. But not all roofers in Denver, CO are created equally. Companies vary in their experience, the quality of their work, and sometimes, unfortunately, their integrity. While some less-than-reputable companies out there will prey on families whose houses have been damaged by recent severe storms, at Elite Roofing we feel that we’re cut from a little different cloth. We emphasize quality products and superior installation, all while serving our local community and offering the best value to our customers. So, out of the many roofers in Denver, CO, we’d like to make our case for being your trusted confidant when it’s time for your next residential or commercial roofing project.
When you’re looking for roofers in Denver, CO, you always want to start with local companies who are well known in the community and who understand the particular roofing challenges of the area. Elite Roofing has worked in the Denver metro area for more than a decade, so we know all about the wild weather to plan for and protect against when it comes to residential and commercial roofing projects in the area.
In addition to our professional roofing experience, though, we’ve also dedicated ourselves to helping causes throughout Denver with donations, sponsorships, and volunteer efforts. We’ve given to charities and causes such as Denver Children’s Hospital, Boys & Girls Club of Denver, and the Humane Society of Weld County, because for a business to be truly local, we feel they should also be invested in bettering the community around them.
At Elite Roofing, our motto is “roofing done right.” To us, that’s not just a set of words that sound nice together—it’s what our business was founded on. Randy Brothers, our founder, chose that motto after taking a good look at roofers in Denver, CO and realizing things could be done much better. The roofing industry is sometimes known for shady characters, such as so-called “storm chasers” who knock on doors in communities where homes have been damaged by severe weather and take advantage of their dire situation. At Elite Roofing, we prioritize excellent workmanship, superior customer care and overall satisfaction. Our highly trained personnel at all levels, strive to foster a friendly, professional atmosphere that employees want to be a part of.
One way to make sure you’re hiring the best roofer for your project is to check their credentials and associations. At Elite Roofing, we have quite a few. One of our most important professional associations is Owens Corning, with whom we are a Platinum Preferred Contractor. This means we can get our customers better deals on Owens Corning products than they’ll find anywhere else, while customers can also be sure we’re experts at working with this company’s materials. In addition, we’re the only certified Lucas Membrane applicator in Colorado; our sales personnel are all CertainTeed Master Shingle applicators; and we’re a GAF Master Elite company. Finally, we’re fully licensed and insured, and we maintain an A+ rating with the BBB.
One more reason to choose Elite Roofing is that our business is family owned and operated, helping us keep our faith, values, and integrity at the front of our minds in everything we do. As a family-owned company, we feel that we truly understand where our customers are coming from when they’re in need of a new roof or timely repair. What’s more, we treat our customers like family, striving to be responsive, caring, and attentive at every step of the way—and installing roofs that we would be confident putting over our own heads. So, if you’re in need of a residential or commercial roof replacement or repair, contact Elite Roofing today!

As we begin planning for 2020, we are compelled to look back at all that we have accomplished in 2019. And who better to help us do this than our new CEO Brie Reis. Let’s take a look at where we’ve come and where we’re headed from Brie’s perspective:
Brie stepped in as CEO in February of 2019. When asked what stands out to her, Brie first pointed to Elite Roofing being named to the 2019 Inc. 5000 List of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America, for the second year in a row; in addition to making the Denver Business Journal 2019 Fast 50. 2019 also marked the year we became completely paperless and our first remote employee began working from home, both accomplishments which are helping reduce our carbon footprint as an organization.
Not having any major storms proved to be a challenge and an opportunity for the Elite team. While this made our traditional ‘busy season’ a bit less hectic, it also gave us an opportunity to come together as a team and make strategic adjustments. We were able to use this time to instead finetune our processes and become healthier as an organization. As a result, even with no major storm activity, we were able to sustain our revenue in a year that many area roofers were forced out of business.
In 2020 we will be heavily focused on growing our commercial and service departments. While these have always been areas of focus, residential roofing has been our largest. However, in 2020, we aim to leverage our extensive experience and proven SOPs to also dominate the local market in commercial and roofing service solutions.
In addition to our goals as an organization, Brie aims to help our team grow on a personal level. She plans to continue to find new ways to strengthen Elite by encouraging value and self-worth within our team members.
While providing unparalleled customer service has always been a core value here at Elite, we are continuously looking for new ways to improve things. As we look to 2020, Brie plans to continue to identify new ways to mitigate technical issues and simplify the customer experience. In addition, we will be dividing our sales department during the busy season to better focus and serve our customers’ needs.
Giving back is a cornerstone of the Elite brand and has been since we opened our doors in 2006. In 2020, we will continue to identify and fill needs within the community. In addition, we will continue to give to the causes that are near and dear to us including our annual Turkey Drive, Toys for Tots, Back to School programs, Habitat for Humanity and our $100 donations for every new roof we install.
With so much to be thankful for and so much to look forward to, all of us at Elite could not be more excited to kick off 2020. On behalf of all of us here at Elite, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude for your support and wish you a wonderful and prosperous New Year!

At Elite Roofing, our clients often ask us how long they can expect their commercial roofing system to last. This can be difficult to answer, as some factors that impact the lifespan of a roof – such as the weather from year to year – are largely out of anyone’s control. However, proper roof care and maintenance is also an important factor to consider, and it can be the difference between having a roof that lasts for several years and having one that lasts for decades. Here are a few of the most important commercial roof maintenance tips that can help business owners extend the lifespan of their roof!
It may be tempting to ignore a drip from your roof here and there, but this is a major mistake. A leak left unaddressed can shorten the lifespan of a roof, and it’s likely to become a much more expensive problem the longer you wait. The leak can expand into a larger crack, and water from your leaking roof can seep into other places. This can seriously damage equipment and potentially introduce a mold and mildew problem. These are far more expensive to deal with than a simple roof repair job – so be sure to have leaks fixed by a professional roofing company as soon as possible.
Branches, excess leaves, and rocks on your roof should be removed promptly if you want to maximize the lifespan of your roof. While this may seem minor, built-up debris can clog drainage systems and lead to standing water on low-slope commercial roofing systems. This is also important for keeping roof equipment (such as AC units) functioning properly, as debris can interfere with the operation of these machines.
Further, during the winter, accumulation of snow is particularly dangerous for commercial roofs. This is because these roofs have a much lower slope, meaning snow and ice can build up rather quickly if your building lacks a means of preventing this (such as a roof heating system). All in all, clearing out any form of debris is a surefire way to extend the lifespan of a commercial roof. In addressing this, though, we also encourage you to take care to…
It might seem counterintuitive: You should keep your roof clear of debris and snow, but you can’t walk on it? Unfortunately, walking on your business’s roof can cause damage if you aren’t a professional and don’t have the proper equipment. One way around this is to have a roofing contractor install walk pads, allowing you to more safely access different parts of your commercial roof. Even so, it’s generally wiser to hire a professional when it comes to clearing your commercial roof.
While leaks are an obvious sign that your roof is in need of repair, sometimes more insidious damage can occur that an untrained eye won’t spot until it’s too late. To be sure your roof is in tiptop condition, it’s important to have it inspected, ideally at least twice a year after winter and summer. This is a great way to extend the lifespan of a roof, as any problems introduced by winter weather and severe summer thunderstorms will be spotted right away.
Whether your roof needs an inspection, minor repairs, or a complete overhaul, it’s crucial that you call on a trusted roofing professional to get the job done. The Elite Roofing team offers extensive experience in commercial roof replacement, repair and maintenance. If you are interested in learning how you can extend the lifespan of your commercial roof, contact us for a free inspection today! Allow us show you why we’re Colorado’s most trusted residential and commercial roofing contractors.

At Elite Roofing, one of our favorite things to do this time of year is to count our blessings. Though there are too many to count, we like to take this opportunity to rank our top five. As leading Denver roofers, the holidays come at the perfect time. Thanksgiving arrives just as the busy season has come to a close and we’re each ready to kick up our feet and relax with those we hold dear. Without much further ado, let’s take a look at the top five things for which Denver roofers are thankful.
Here at Elite, family is the cornerstone of everything we do. As a family owned and operated business, we attribute putting family first to much of our success. In striking a healthy balance of work and quality family time, our team is more fulfilled, at home and at work. As a result, we’re able to deliver on our promise to provide ‘roofing done right’ time and time again.
As a faith-based roofing company, our Christian values are an integral part of everything we do here at Elite. We could not be more thankful for our skilled team of professionals who bring faith and integrity to the table in everything they do.
As proud Coloradoans, we are so very thankful for the Rockies. They bring us breathtaking beauty year-round, endless opportunities for outdoor recreation, sunshine almost every day and unmatched power in the winter. We considered ourselves blessed to live in the Rockies and that is something we are thankful for each and every day.
As top-rated Denver roofers, our customers make it all possible. It is their unparalleled loyalty that makes it a pleasure to come to work every day. From returning customers to referrals, remaining in-touch with the clients we have worked with over the years is the ultimate testament to the work we do here at Elite. Now that’s something to be thankful for!
We of course can’t forget Thanksgiving. We are so very thankful to have the opportunity to take a day away from it all to count our blessings with those we hold dear. Not to mention, the chance to indulge in so much great food!
We hope you too are taking the opportunity this time of year to count your blessings and give thanks. Here at Elite we count you among our many reasons to be thankful.
We are grateful for your continued support and we wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
We recently had the pleasure of completing a historical roof replacement in downtown Denver. The success of this unique project required the hard work and determination of a host of Elite Roofing team members. Which is precisely why we’re focusing today’s post on this recently completed roof replacement.
This stunning building was first constructed as a hospital and repurposed several times. It’s most recent renovation transformed the space into 14 condo units. The HOA was in need of an experienced contractor to help complete a historical roof replacement. This wasn’t just any Denver roof replacement. The aging roof has a 12/12 pitch with 2 turrets and space decking that had to be brought up to code. Our own Dave Estes stepped in as salesman and project manager to ensure the success of the project.
The extreme pitch of the roof presented several challenges. The entire building had to be scaffolded to enable crews to access the roof and harnesses were used to access areas that scaffolding could not reach. When the aging shingles were removed, space decking was revealed, which had to be covered with plywood to comply with code. Finally, roofing on the building’s two beautiful turrets that also had to be replaced. The pitch of the roof and the downtown location meant trash chutes had to be used to remove debris and deliveries had to be arranged around one-way streets.
In addition to completing the work, we also helped the client interface with their insurance provider. In fact, our supplements specialist Kyle Larson played an integral role in helping the client avoid litigation.
To say that this project was difficult is an understatement. However, it’s projects like these that challenge us and make us better as an organization. The Elite Roofing family truly came together to ensure the success of this project. We would like to thank Dave, Kyle and the rest of the team for all of their work with this historic roof replacement.
Check out footage of the Elite team at work on this monumental project:
At Elite Roofing, we pride ourselves on rising to the occasion when presented with challenges and this project is no exception. In roughly 24 days, we tackled it as a team, leaving the client extremely happy with the results and giving new life to one of Denver’s historical treasures. Are you interested in learning more about our roof replacement and repair services? We encourage you to contact us today. Allow us to help you explore your options and determine your most cost-effective course of action.
If you’re searching for a contractor for a roofing repair or replacement, finding the best roofing company can feel like a futile task. How do you know who to trust? What kind of customer service can you expect? Do they have a strong reputation among area property owners? When perusing the web, you will find organization after organization claiming to be the best roofing company in the area, but how do you separate fact from fiction? Start with online reviews!
Look at online reviews like a form of crowdsourcing. Millions of consumers complete online reviews each and every day. These reviews can help you make all kinds of buying decisions, from what kind of car to buy to where to go for dinner. Why not use the same logic when selecting the right roofing company? Replacing or repairing a roof is a big investment, one you should not make without completing a little homework first.
As you begin your search, keep in mind that there are multiple reputable online review sites to consider. Yelp and Google are a great place to start. Take the time to not only compare the number of stars each local roofing company has but read the consumer commentary. Are there common themes with the top ranked organizations? There will inevitably be at least one or two less than favorable reviews. Do the complaints seem founded to you? Keep in mind that even one or two negative reviews amongst hundreds of positive reviews can still hurt a company’s overall star rating. By digging in and reading commentary from roofing companies as well as the consumers they serve, you can extrapolate a lot. Do they seem eager to make things right when a complaint is made? Do most of their customers seem to have similar, positive experiences?
Once you have checked out their online reviews, you’ve likely narrowed your pool of candidates significantly. If you’re still not sure which to select, we encourage you to reach out to each directly. Do they provide quality customer support right from the beginning? Are they happy to answer your questions? Are they willing to provide a reference you can speak to directly?
By completing your homework and asking the right questions, you can rest assured that you are in fact selecting the best roofing company in your area.
Still have questions about selecting the right contractor? Check out our recent post on the topic!
At Elite Roofing, we’re proud to maintain 4.9 stars out of 5 on Google+ and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We owe much of our success over the past decade to our customers’ continued support through referrals. We consider it a great honor when our customers take to the web to provide a review of their experience with us or pass along our information to loved ones. If you are ready to schedule your free, no-obligation roofing inspection today, we encourage you to give us a call. Let’s get started!
We are very proud to announce that Elite Roofing has been named to the 2018 Inc. 5000 List of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America. Inc. Magazine’s annual list is a who’s who among the most innovative and rapidly growing organizations in the country. The entire Elite family is both honored and humbled by this recognition.
More than 10 years ago Elite Roofing was founded with the mission to challenge the status quo of the roofing industry while providing economic opportunity. Today, we are pleased to say that together we have made this mission a reality. In making Inc. Magazine’s list, we have joined the ranks of many of the world’s most recognizable brands including: Microsoft, Timberland, Vizio, Intuit, Chobani, Oracle, and Zappos.com.
Ranked #3597 on this year’s list, we will be celebrating this achievement at the 37th Annual Inc. 5000 Conference and Gala in San Antonio this October.
Hear what our founders have to say about the road to the Inc. 5000:
Best Roofing Contractor in Denver
When we first opened our doors, we set out to establish a reputation as the best roofing contractor in Denver. For more than 10 years, we’ve been hard a work establishing a sterling reputation throughout the Denver metro and beyond. Making the Inc. 5000 list is an important milestone in our continued effort to be just that, the best roofing contractors Denver has to offer.
How did we get here? It all comes down to people. Over the years, the key to our success has been our amazing staff, sales team and installers, along with the homeowners that entrust us with their roofing needs. We started from a small warehouse space with 6 team members; today we employ 20 full time staff members, 6 service techs, 15 project managers and an expansive crew on the ground.
On behalf of the Elite Roofing family, we would like to thank the people of Colorado for their support. Our unwavering commitment to being the very best roofing contractor in Denver has not always been an easy road but it’s certainly been an adventure. We would not be where we are today without you and we know that you will be a part of the ongoing Elite Roofing story. We encourage you to stay tuned for more updates and announcements in the coming weeks and months as we continue to make our mark in roofing industry and the community at large.
As defined by Roofing Contractor, “Young Guns” are considered “up-and-coming contractors in their 20s and 30s who are making a mark on the [roofing] industry.” As you can imagine, being recognized by a reputable, national roofing contractor’s magazine is an incredible honor. When Randy and Cody were first interviewed by Art Aisner, the editor at Roofing Contractor Magazine, they had to take pause and pinch themselves. A dream they once joked about as kids was in fact a reality, and someone outside of their circle of close friends and family were acknowledging the incredible achievements they’ve made with Elite Roofing in just a few short years. These two have built up this Denver residential roofing and commercial roofing company from the ground up and continue to thrive, meeting their goals month after month. Without further adieu, below is the Young Guns article as it appears online in Roofing Contractor Magazine:

Randy Brothers and Cody Hayes: Elite Roofing’s DNA is Thicker Than Water
Randy Brothers and Cody Hayes are not blood relatives, but they’re the first to admit they’re closer than most siblings.
Friends since the seventh grade, these Colorado natives have been side-by-side — first as locker mates in high school, then roommates at University of Northern Colorado (UNC), and now business co-owners — for virtually every personal and professional milestone. Including when Brothers found himself in need of a business partner to rescue his dream of owning a construction-contracting company.
Still in the throes of the recession and reeling from a former business partner’s decision to walk away, Brothers reached out at just the right time in 2010. Hayes, too, was at a crossroads.
Shortly after graduating from UNC, he hired into a commercial property-management company and worked his way up to regional manager, where he was responsible for more than 20 properties in five western states. By late 2010, an offer to become a regional manager at the company’s east-coast operations in Baltimore materialized. Though appreciative of the opportunity, Hayes said he wasn’t thrilled with the idea of leaving his friends and family behind for the Chesapeake Bay. He had a month to decide whether to forgo a promotion and secure salary for the unknown, and Brothers put him to work, literally.
“He’s my go-to guy,” Brothers said of Hayes. “Back in school, we joked about being in business together some day, and little did we know that we’d be here, right where we are. To some degree, we feel like we’re where we’re supposed to be.”
Hayes stayed, and neither could argue with the results. In just four years, Elite grew from a company with $500,000 annual revenue and four full-time employees to a $6 million enterprise with nearly 70 employees at peak season. And it all happened before Hayes and Brothers turned 33.
They currently have a mix of residential (70 percent) and commercial (30 percent) clients, but the pair said the best decision they made was to specialize in a certain segment of roofing. One that has a formidable adversary virtually guaranteed to generate business ever year — Mother Nature.
The demand for Elite’s services is driven by the weather, and reliable insurance companies pay the bills for the work. The key for Elite is being able to differentiate themselves from others at the kitchen table.
“We offer a great service, and homeowners with insurance will pay any quality contractor the same amount regardless,” Hayes explained. “What they’re buying is you, what you stand behind. And if you have great communication, you really can’t lose.”
Another component to Elite’s winning strategy is taking a different attitude toward unforeseen errors and failures.
“Our goal is to always do a good job, but some of our best referrals are from when bad things happen,” Hayes said. “It’s because we took care of it and owned it.”
Hayes lives in Denver with wife, Devon, who is expecting their first child in March. Brothers lives in Denver with wife, Christina, and their 8-month-old son, Ryder.
Though the seductive allure of Colorado’s climate and snowcapped mountains drew the two avid snowboarders together as teens, the pair also developed a strong bond during church activities growing up. Both still say they believe faith plays a big part of their success, and it’s one of the main reason they’re focused on giving back.
In addition to sponsorships and in-kind donations, Elite contributes $100 from each roof sold to a non-profit of the homeowner’s choice, on their behalf. Through this program, Brothers said they’ve helped support several worthwhile causes, including a women’s shelter and programs designed to help residents in Denver’s inner city.
“We’re living (our dream). We wake up every day knowing that there’s a lot of people whose lives are better than they were because of the company we created. That’s an awesome feeling,” Brothers said.

Congratulations to Cody and Randy for building a reputable business in an ethical manner. We’re all proud to be cogs in the wheel of the machine that is Elite Roofing!

Colorado has had an enormous amount of hail, both in size and the number of times we’ve seen hail this year! Recently, we inspected a roof in Highlands Ranch, Colorado where we encountered the worst roof we have seen in a long time! To be fair, this roof was the original roof on the home which was built in 1994 and the insurance inspector was fairly certain that the roof had never been replaced.
We’re just thankful the roof hadn’t started leaking yet! With hail damage like this, it’s hard to say how much more the roof could have taken without losing its integrity. Once you have a leak, then you have to start worrying about mold which is a whole other ball of wax!
Wondering how your roof is fairing? We offer free roof inspections, at your convenience with no obligation to buy from Elite Roofing. Although we think you’ll love us, there’s no pressure! Fill out the form below and one of our qualified Project Manager’s will be in touch with you to schedule your free roof inspection. Whether you’re in Highlands Ranch, Fort Collins or Colorado Springs–Elite Roofing can take care of all your roofing needs!
We can’t help but share it! Elite Roofing is helping people all over Colorado Springs, Fort Collins and the Denver Metro Area get ready for winter by inspecting as many roofs as we can! Because of the recent hail storms, we are busy and encourage you to submit the form below to start the process of getting scheduled for a free inspection. There is still time before the snow comes, but we all know that the snow can’t help but fall on Halloween.

Denver didn’t get any hail yesterday, but boy did Colorado Springs! We asked our guys in the Springs to take some pictures of the actual hail! In a lot of the pictures we’ve seen, the hail could be mistaken for snow! 9News reported that the hail was so bad, it shut down parts of I25 in Colorado Springs and the city actually called for plows to come out and plow the hail!
Know anyone who was attacked by the hail yesterday? Send ’em our way! We offer free inspections and can tell you on the spot if you have enough damage to qualify for an insurance claim. Check out some of the photos below of yesterday’s hail storm in Colorado Springs!

Elite Roofing has been a preferred local roofer in Denver for almost a decade. They have built their business from the bottom up and were very pleased to purchase their new home, a warehouse building on 5475 Peoria St., Unit 4-106 in Denver, Colorado. Elite Roofing was formerly located a little further west off of I70 and Quebec.
Elite Roofing is almost finished building out the interior to suit their business needs. The sales staff now has a state-of-the-art sales office, while the support staff each has their own private offices. Elite Roofing also completed a welcoming reception area and of course has a massive garage for storing supplies and company trucks.
To Elite Roofing, it was important to own their office building and no longer be a tenant in someone else’s building. Owner Randy Brothers said, “Being from Colorado, it was important to really set some roots here. Elite Roofing isn’t one of those fly-by-night roofing companies that disappears at the end of storm season. If by chance something goes wrong with your roof, our customers will always be able to find us.” In addition to setting roots, it was also important to the owners to reinvest in the company, and have a chance to give back to their employees.
The central location of this Denver office is perfect for a the Project Managers that travels all over the Greater Denver Metro Area and Colorado to perform roof inspections, roof repairs and of course our favorite, roof replacements. Elite Roofing’s new location is ideal for these Denver roofers!

You gotta love a roofing company so locally loved and respected that we get to chime in on what it means to have Peyton Manning staying in Denver for his 18th NFL season. One of our owners, Cody Hayes, gave his two cents on Manning renewing his contract with the Broncos. Below is an excerpt from the article from The Denver Post written by Nick Kosmider, orginally posted here.
“I’m stoked,” said Cody Hayes, a longtime Broncos fan who runs a roofing business in Denver. “We had already been through multiple quarterbacks before he came here, and it’s not likely that we could win without real talent behind center.”
The NFL, Hayes pointed out, is a quarterback-driven league. He believes Osweiler could be a good quarterback, but it’s Manning, he said, who gives the Broncos their best chance to win the Super Bowl next season.
“Every year I say we have a chance to win the Super Bowl,” Hayes said, “but if we don’t (in 2015), this will be our last chance for a while.”
Fans also expressed excitement about what general manager John Elway might be able to accomplish with the money saved from the $4 million pay cut Manning agreed to take.
“I just hope that’s enough to secure some key playmakers,” Hayes said.
Spoken like a true Broncos fan! Cody Hayes is a native of Colorado and grew up loving the Broncos so it’s only fitting that The Denver Post ask him what his take on Peyton Manning renewing for the 2015/2016 season means. Now, if we could only figure out how to get Peyton Manning to buy a new roof from Elite Roofing… From there, it’s just a hop, skip and a jump away to Elite Roofing Stadium at Mile High. We can dream, can’t we?

As shingles wear down, or weather takes a toll on the shingle the granules, which are the the first layer of protection on a shingle, and make up the color of the shingle, will start to wear down. These granules will be washed down the roof, into the gutters and through your downspouts with the rain. A an extraordinary amount of granules may indicate your shingles are breaking down, and their life span is shortening.
Heavy winds that often accompany strong storms will detach shingles from your roof. Finding shingles in your yard is an obvious sign that your roofing system is starting to deteriorate. By finding these shingles, it means that you now have exposed underlayment, or even exposed plywood, which can be a direct porthole for water and moisture to enter your home.
Afraid of heights? You may not have to climb on a ladder and get on your roof for a visual inspection. Often times, you can look for damage to your screens, paint and gutters around the home. If you see damage to these items, then the chances are pretty good that you have damage to your roof as well.
Finding yellow spots, or color changes in your ceiling indicates that there is moisture inside the home, where it does not belong. Now this could be something that has to do with plumbing, or other issues but typically on an upper level, it could easily be water coming in through your roof.
Ok, maybe not that shiney but still–if you step back and look at your roof, and see a shimmer that is sign that you may need a new roof. The shimmer or shine you see comes from the exposed fiberglass of the shingle. Fiberglass is only exposed on shingles that are excessively deteriorating.
If you are unsure about damage to your roof, it’s always best to have a professional stop by and give you a free inspection. Most roofing companies will give you a free inspection, and if they try to charge you–look elsewhere.
