Fort Collins Storm Destroys Roofs and Brings Out Scam Artists
Part owner of Elite Roofing, Cody Hayes inspects a wood shake roof in Fort Collins, Colorado after major storm hit the area on June 24, 2014. The storm cause major damage to homes, cars and even cracked a few sky lights! The Better Business Bureau in conjunction with a State Farm Insurance representative reported that storms like these tend to bring out “scam artists” that offer to repair your roof with a deal that is only good “on the spot”. Don’t trust these people! Unfortunately, if it seems to good to be true–it usual is. Make sure you talk to reputable companies that are established in Colorado and not going to leave the state as soon as the storm season ends. You want to be sure they are around in case there are any issues with the finished product, and to perform the work as promised in their warranty.
